It's not something I would brag about, but I do like the look of pressed flowers, and they make wonderful bookmarks. This is very topical, but you can have entire conversations based on what flowers you receive.
You know, that makes sense. You're a flower earring for Bishamon-san after all. Pressed flowers are pretty and sort of timeless when they're like that. In my journal at home, I've pressed a couple, too.
You're talking about hanakotoba, right? Do you know the language?
I know that I look rather young, but I am much older than what I look like. I had plenty of time to find ways to say things that I could not actually say in person. I once gave Viina a bouquet that consisted of lavender roses. Do you know the meaning of those flowers or what yellow roses mean?
[Oh Hiyori.... You sweet, sweet child. Kazuma is absolutely envious of you right now. Only she would have the gall to just *say* whatever is on her mind to her love and not have to deal with social norms. Thank god that this whole conversation is being said over the journal; there's no promise that he would have been able to hide his anger right then.]
Well, I certainly hope so. I am her blessed vessel after all.
I will only tell you what yellow roses mean, and perhaps the mystery of what the other one would encourage you to delve into studying hanakotoba yourself.
Yellow roses have two different meanings- jealousy and infidelity. Hopefully, you will never be on the receiving end of one of those.
[ first instinct tells her to write I'M NOT LIKE HIM WE DON'T GET ALONG just like it did when she sat with yukine and ate lunch on a bench after bodying yato into the river for being a creep and spying. but they actually do. he's right. he's her best friend by most rights.
Viina is way too busy to send flowers, besides it would look rather improper. Unlike Yato- Viina has many shinkis and favoritism provokes negative feelings.
I think you're making a lot of speculations about how other people feel. Giving someone flowers is sweet, not improper. It shows appreciation.
And if you told her, Bishamon-san might send you flowers because you like them. But she can't know until you do.
Besides, negative feelings aren't inherently bad. It's natural. Nobody can feel positive all the time. What's important is to resolve them and not let them build into something worse.
Perhaps that is the case, but I have experienced it more then once to justify my personal beliefs.
You can say that but need I remind you that despite how often you do spend time with gods and shinkis- you do not understand everything about how things are handled between the two. You are not a shinki nor a god.
More than that, shinki are still human. They're still people. And gods may be gods but I've experienced enough to have my own beliefs, too. Nobody is infallible. Gods need their shinki as much as shinki need their gods.
But this goes for everyone: Nothing gets better by being silent. If anything, it only hurts more.
[God Damn it- No, he doesn't know that. That is the only thing that everyone seems to dance around.]
When you become a shinki I would take your advice into consideration, until then perhaps we should focus on friendlier matters? Do you think it would be wise to stick with plastic vases or should we look at some glass vases?
[ TO PROTECT. the only thing hiyori will agree is better to keep quiet.
which is the reason why, after the initial hurt, she doesn't hold when you become a shinki against kazuma no matter the intent behind it. he doesn't know that shinki are people that were killed, does he? shinki only know that they've died.
if she becomes a shinki, it's because she died too soon. that she wanted to live. a thought that makes her blood run cold. despite that, ]
I'm trying to be a good friend by telling you this, Kazuma-san. I think your way of doing things is too short-sighted. [ unintentional glasses joke ] I don't want you to get hurt in the future because you kept your silence for whatever reason. You're still a person like me, aren't you? A good person. Not just a shinki. Not just a good shinki, either. Why do the two have to be separate?

I'd hope if someone is either jealous or unfaithful, they would just say it to my face.
Why are you bringing those up?

It's just an interesting tidbit that flowers could also have negative meanings to them as well.

so she can't argue that point. ]

I would say glass vase because it's prettier. Even if they're easier to break than plastic.
